Helfrich Golf Course

I've almost always had a good time here. Last time, we played 9 holes, teeing off at 7:30 am. We politely asked to play the back nine, and were assertively rejected (even though there were no other groups even close to making the turn). We then couldn't even play hole 3 because there was an excavation team digging on the fairway. So basically were forced to play 8 of the front 9 holes for full price even though we wouldn't have gotten in anyone's way by playing the back 9. I've never been treated like this before, and it was very disappointing.

Why are we paying full price for 9 when there’s so much construction, and hole 3 was closed? Usually a fine course - dude at the clubhouse was pretty rude too.

Very disappointed with the customer service experience at Helfrich Golf Course on Sunday, May 17 around 5:30 p.m. The front desk employee, Stacy, was extremely rude and unwelcoming from the start. When I first called, I was told there were no tee times available, but when we checked online ourselves, there actually was an available tee time. That immediately gave us a bad impression. When we arrived, her attitude continued to be unpleasant and dismissive. We asked for right-handed clubs, but were given left-handed clubs instead. We were also directed to a golf cart that did not even have keys in it, and when we returned to ask about it, Stacy acted as if it was somehow our fault. She also made it sound like we were the very last group allowed out for the evening, even though another group came after us. The overall interaction felt unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional. The course itself may be fine, but customer service matters, and management should be aware of how guests are being treated at the front desk.

Course has lots of hills. Greens were in good shape. It's a little pricey compared to other courses my husband played. The snack bar was closed (heard they lost their beer license), Very busy course.
